This policy explains what information Thompson Foundry Innovations LLC (“TFI,” “we”) collects through the TFI Storefront, the TFI Tools Directory and related pages (the “site”), how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Information you send us. When you request a product or service, ask TFI to set up a skill or tool, report a problem, submit a tool for the directory, or ask about advertising, we collect what you type into the form: for example your name, business name, email address, phone number and message.
- Clicks to other websites. When you click through to a tool's website from the directory, we record which tool was clicked, its category, whether the link was an affiliate link, and the time. We do not attach your name or email to these click records.
- Account information. If you sign in, our hosting provider handles the sign-in and stores your email address and account details.
- Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically receives standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to run and secure the site.
How we use it
- To respond to your request, send quotes and invoices, and deliver the products and services you ask for.
- To review and list tools submitted to the directory, and to manage Featured placements.
- To fix problems with skills and improve the site.
- To count clicks so we know which tools are useful and can report click totals to advertisers. Advertisers only receive totals, never information about you.
- To keep the site secure and to meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising by others.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that run the site and our business for us, such as our website hosting and database provider (Base44), our email provider and, when online payments are added, our payment processor. They may only use the information to provide their service to TFI.
- Tool websites you visit. When you click an affiliate link, you go directly to that company's website. That company, or its affiliate network, may use cookies to record that you came from TFI so it can pay us a commission. Their privacy policies apply on their sites.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of TFI, our users or others.
- If the business changes hands, as part of a merger, sale or transfer of TFI's business.
Cookies and similar technology
The site uses your browser's storage to keep you signed in and to remember simple settings (for example, preview mode for the site owner). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this site. Websites you visit through our links may set their own cookies.
Do Not Track: because we do not track you across other websites, we do not change our practices in response to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
How long we keep it
We keep requests, reports and submissions for as long as needed to handle them and keep normal business records, generally up to three years, unless the law requires longer. Click records are kept as totals for reporting.
Your choices
- You can ask us what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing contact@tfi-systems.com. We may need to confirm it's you, and we may keep information we are legally required to keep.
- You can choose not to fill in any form. Browsing the library and directory does not require giving us personal information.
Children
The site is for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, including access controls that limit records to TFI's administrator. No website can be completely secure, so please don't send sensitive information such as passwords or payment card numbers through our forms.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
