AFTER · what the skill produced

Here is the plan for Tuesday. Everyone has 8 hours. Clarence has 3 hours already committed to the Sorento, so he has 5 hours open for new work.

Clarence (8 hours total, 3.0 on the Sorento, 5.0 open)

  • Bay 2: Sorento transmission leak, 3.0 hrs already in progress (not counted in the new work below)
  • Bay 1: 2014 Forte A/C diagnosis, 1.5 hrs
  • Bay 1 or 2 when open: 2020 RAV4 misfire diagnosis, 2.0 hrs
  • Total new work: 3.5 of 5.0 open hours. About 1.5 hrs left for sign-offs or a walk-in.

Charlene (8 hours open)

  • Bay 3: 2018 Altima alignment, 1.0 hr, must be done by 3 pm pickup
  • Bay 1: 2019 Santa Fe front pads and rotors, 2.0 hrs, promised noon
  • Brake check on the Tucson, about 0.5 hr (our estimate, you can adjust)
  • Total: 3.5 of 8.0 hours

Tyrell (8 hours open)

  • Bay 5: 2016 Sonata oil change and rotation, 0.8 hr, customer waiting. Do this first.
  • Bay 4: 2015 Malibu 4 tires, 1.2 hrs, promised 1pm
  • Bay 1 or 2 when open: 2017 Tucson rear brakes, 1.5 hrs, with Charlene checking before it goes out
  • Total: 3.5 of 8.0 hours

Bay schedule

  • Bay 1: Santa Fe brakes (Charlene), then Forte A/C (Clarence)
  • Bay 2: Sorento (Clarence, in progress), then RAV4 or Tucson when free
  • Bay 3: Altima alignment (Charlene)
  • Bay 4: Malibu tires (Tyrell)
  • Bay 5: Sonata oil change (Tyrell)

Flags

  • Bay 1 is needed by both the Santa Fe and the Forte. We put the Santa Fe first because of the noon promise, so Clarence starts the Forte after that or waits for Bay 2.
  • Bay 2 is held by the Sorento for about 3 hrs, and both the RAV4 and the Tucson also need a lift. We recommend watching the lifts closely so these two do not collide.
  • Clarence has about 1.5 hrs of slack. If the Sorento runs long, the RAV4 or the Forte may slip.
  • You did not say who should do the RAV4 misfire. We gave it to Clarence since you said he does all your diagnosis and he has the open hours. If you would rather keep him lighter, we recommend moving the RAV4 to Charlene only if you confirm she is comfortable with diagnosis.
  • Charlene and Tyrell each have 4.5 hours of room. That is the best place to put any walk-in.

Options

  • If the Sorento runs long, move the Forte A/C or the RAV4 to tomorrow morning.
  • If you want Clarence free for the Sorento, ask Charlene to take the RAV4 after the Santa Fe is done.

Sign-off notes

  • Charlene or Clarence must check the Tucson rear brakes before it leaves, since Tyrell is doing that job.
  • Confirm any certification needed for A/C refrigerant handling locally before assigning A/C work to anyone other than Clarence.

What it does

Matches each job on the board to the right technician and the right bay, using the skills, certifications, hours and bay equipment you tell it about. Gives you a clear day plan, flags jobs nobody can take, and shows where the schedule is tight.

Use it when: Use when an auto repair shop owner or service manager needs to decide which technician should work on which job, based on skill level, certifications and bay availability, such as "who should take this job," "assign today's work," "set up the board," or "who can do the A/C job and which bay is open."
