Towing and Drop-Off Messages for Stranded Customers
Turns the owner's rough notes about a breakdown into clear, calm messages for the stranded customer and for the tow driver.
Before and after
Customer text to Clint:
Hi Clint, this is Bayberry Auto Repair. Sorry about the trouble with your Wrangler. Glad you are parked safely in the lot. Please stay somewhere safe and away from traffic while you wait.
Hartley Towing is on the way. They told us about 45 minutes from 3:10 PM, so around 3:55 PM, though that can change. They will take your Wrangler to our shop at 214 Industrial Way.
Please have your keys ready for the driver and take any valuables out of the car.
We do not have the tow cost yet. Hartley told us they would let us know. Our diagnostic fee is $120, and we take that off the bill if you go ahead with the repair.
If the tow gets here before 4:30 PM, we can give you a ride to your office on Pine St. After that we are not able to, so please plan around that.
We will call you once we have looked at the car. Questions anytime: 555-0103.

- Local rules on towing, storage fees, and releasing vehicles, before adding any of that to a message
What it does
Turns the owner's rough notes about a breakdown into clear, calm messages for the stranded customer and for the tow driver. Covers who is coming, where the car is going, what happens when it arrives, and what the customer needs to do next.
Use it when: Use when an auto repair shop needs to write messages to a stranded customer or a tow company about a vehicle that is being towed or dropped off, such as "text this customer about the tow," "write up the drop-off instructions," "customer is stuck on the side of the road," or "tell the tow driver where to bring it."
