Before and after

BEFORE · what the owner typed
Ridgefield Carpet Care, we're at 234-555-0140. Customer is Peggy Jarvis, 3163 Pebblefield St, Flintcrest. Did her living room and hallway today. Tech Paul Holloway notes: 1) red wine by the sofa, about a dinner plate size, 2 days old, hot water extraction after pre-spray, mostly gone, faint pink shadow left. 2) coffee splash in the hall near the closet, fresh, gone completely. 3) dark gray traffic lane in the hall, cleaned, looks much better, a little browning near the baseboard that came back to the surface after drying, tech thinks it's from the backing wicking up, will usually lift with a second pass. 4) there's a wax drip from a candle by the window, scraped and treated, a small waxy spot remains. Carpet is a wool blend. Dry time 6 to 8 hours, keep off it for 2 hours then walk in clean socks only, no shoes till it's dry. Tell her don't rub or scrub any spots, don't use bleach or steam cleaners. If she wants, we'll come back and re-treat the pink shadow, the browning and the wax spot, free within 14 days. Tech also said she should get the sofa legs on little foil pads or plastic tabs while it dries. Don't know if she wants us to apply protectant, ask her.
AFTER · what the skill produced

Hi Peggy,

Thank you for choosing Ridgefield Carpet Care. Paul Holloway cleaned your living room and hallway today. Here is how each spot turned out and what to do at home.

Drying and foot traffic

  • Please keep off the carpet for 2 hours. After that, walk on it in clean socks only. No shoes until it is fully dry.
  • Full drying takes 6 to 8 hours.
  • While it dries, we recommend putting foil pads or plastic tabs under the sofa legs.

Your spots

  1. Red wine by the sofa

    • What we did: Paul pre-sprayed the spot and cleaned it with hot water extraction.
    • Where it stands: It is mostly gone. A faint pink shadow is still visible.
    • At home: Please do not rub or scrub it. We recommend letting us re-treat it (details below).
  2. Coffee splash in the hallway near the closet

    • What we did: Paul treated it while it was fresh.
    • Where it stands: It is completely gone.
    • At home: Nothing needed.
  3. Dark traffic lane in the hallway

    • What we did: Paul cleaned the whole lane.
    • Where it stands: It looks much better. A little browning has come back to the surface near the baseboard as the carpet dried. Paul thinks it is from the backing wicking up.
    • At home: Please do not scrub it. Paul's notes say a second pass will usually lift it, so we recommend a re-treatment.
  4. Candle wax by the window

    • What we did: Paul scraped the wax and treated the spot.
    • Where it stands: A small waxy spot remains.
    • At home: Please do not try to pick at it or treat it yourself. We recommend a re-treatment.

Please avoid

  • Rubbing or scrubbing any spot
  • Bleach
  • Steam cleaners

When to call us
We recommend a re-treatment of the pink shadow, the browning, and the wax spot. It is free if we do it within 14 days of today's cleaning. Call us at 234-555-0140 to set it up. If you are unsure about anything before you try it, please call us first.

Questions for the owner

  • Do you want to offer Peggy a protectant application? If so, what is it called and what does it cost?
  • Is there a date or time window you want to suggest for the re-treatment visit?
