Daily Report for Parents
Turns a caregiver's quick notes about a child's day into a clear, friendly report for the parents.
Before and after
Hi Valerie,
Here is Teddy's report for today. He arrived happy at 7:40 and had a busy day with lots of painting and outdoor play.
Meals and snacks

- Snack: crackers and cheese, most of it eaten
- Lunch (11:45): chicken and rice, about half eaten, plus all of his peas
Naps
- Napped from 12:30 to 2:15. He woke up grumpy and settled after a cuddle.
Diapers
- 7:50 wet
- 10:20 wet
- 12:20 wet and BM
- 2:30 wet
- 4:00 wet
Activities
- Sponge painting at 9:30. He loved it and got blue paint on his sleeves.
- Outside play from 10:45 to 11:30 on the slide and in the sandbox.
Mood and moments
- Happy at arrival, a little grumpy after nap, and okay after a cuddle.
Please note
- Around 3:15, Teddy bumped his forehead on the edge of the art table. There was a small red mark. Staff held a cold pack on it for a few minutes. He cried, then settled and went back to playing. Vera Nolan completed an incident form for the day. If you have any questions about the bump, please contact Teddy's doctor.
Please bring
- More wipes
- A spare pair of pants

Questions for the owner
- The notes list a diaper entry "1:15 no." Should that be shown as a dry check at 1:15, or left out?
- The notes say "snack 10 crackers + cheese." Does the 10 mean the snack was at 10:00, or 10 crackers? Please tell us so we can add the time or amount.
- Please confirm the bump report and incident form follow your daycare's own incident policy and your local licensing rules.
