Checks every room and every time block against the ratios you give it, and shows which rooms are within ratio, at the limit, or over ratio.

Fix list
- Infants, 3 to 6: Darren Hunter is alone with 5 children. We need 1 more staff in the room, or the room can have no more than 4 children with one staff. Dean Kirby floats 3 to 6 and is not counted in any room yet. He is an option, but see the questions before counting him.
- Toddlers, 3 to 6: 7 children with 1 staff. We need 1 more staff, or no more than 6 children. Dean Kirby is the only floater named, and he cannot be in both rooms, so even if he can be counted, one of the two 3 to 6 shortages still needs another person or fewer children.
- Preschool, 9 to 3: 21 children with 2 staff. We need 1 more staff, or no more than 20 children. David Jimenez is in the kitchen and is not counted in a room, so this needs another solution unless he can be counted (see questions).
Summary: 9 blocks checked. 4 within ratio, 2 at limit, 3 over ratio (4 + 2 + 3 = 9).
At limit means one more child in that room would put it over ratio. Infants 9 to 3 and toddlers 9 to 3 have no room for an added child.
Questions for the owner
- Can Dean Kirby be counted toward ratio in the infant room or the toddler room 3 to 6 if he is placed there? Please confirm with your licensing agency before counting him.
- Can David Jimenez be counted toward ratio in the preschool room if he leaves the kitchen? Please confirm with your licensing agency before counting him.
- Please confirm with your licensing agency that the ratios above apply as written during all three time blocks, including nap time and outdoor play.
- Are the headcounts the number of children expected or the number actually present? Please send updated numbers if they changed.
What it does
Checks every room and every time block against the ratios you give it, and shows which rooms are within ratio, at the limit, or over ratio. For any room that is over, it says how many more staff you need or how many fewer children the room can hold.
Use it when: Use when a daycare owner or director wants to check staff-to-child ratios by room and time of day, such as 'are we in ratio,' 'check my ratios for Tuesday,' 'do I have enough staff in the toddler room,' or 'who is short this afternoon.'
