Ceramic Coating Aftercare Instructions
Turns the shop's own care rules for a ceramic coating job into a clear, friendly aftercare sheet the customer can follow and keep.
Before and after
Hi Nasser,
Thank you for trusting us with your gray 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe. Miriam Elliott applied two layers of Quillback Hex-9 to it, and here is how we ask you to care for it.
First days
- Keep the Tahoe dry and out of the rain for 48 hours, through March 13. If you have a garage, please park it inside.
- Do not wash it at all for 7 days. The earliest first wash is March 18.
Washing from then on
- Hand wash only.
- Use a pH neutral soap and the two bucket method.
- Use clean microfiber mitts and towels.
- If you use a pressure washer, keep it at least 3 feet from the paint.
Please avoid
- Automatic car washes with brushes
- Wax or sealant on top of the coating
Things that land on the paint
- For bird droppings and bug splatter, rinse and wipe them off soon with water and a clean microfiber towel.
- Do not scrub them when dry.
Our follow-up
- Your 30 day check with us is free. Please book it by April 10.
- We recommend a maintenance wash with us every 6 months. It is $95.
Thank you again,

Questions for the owner
- What phone number and hours should the customer use to book the 30 day check?
- Do you want to include any guidance on water spots, tree sap, or winter road salt?
- Do you want to include warranty terms for the coating? If so, please send them as written.
What it does
Turns the shop's own care rules for a ceramic coating job into a clear, friendly aftercare sheet the customer can follow and keep. It covers the first days after pickup, long-term washing, what to avoid, and the follow-up visit.
Use it when: Use when a detailing shop needs to write ceramic coating aftercare instructions for a customer, such as: "aftercare sheet for this coating job," "what do I tell them about washing," or "write up the care instructions for the ceramic."
