Before and after

BEFORE · what the owner typed
ok so this is for Rita Weber's 40th, Saturday June 14, at the Embermoor Event Hall, 3084 Dawnmoor St, Timbergate. I'm playing 7pm to 11pm. Rita emailed me a bunch of stuff. Her words: 'First dance is Can't Help Falling in Love, the Kina Grannis one not Elvis, at 7:30. Dinner is 8, I want jazzy stuff, Norah Jones is good. NO Macarena, NO Cha Cha Slide, NO Wonderwall. Last song has to be Dancing Queen.' Then her husband Robert Wilcox texted me: 'Please play Sweet Caroline at some point, everybody loves it. Also nothing from Nickelback ever.' Rita's sister Robin Wyatt called my number 319-555-0138 and said Rita secretly loves Mr. Jones by Counting Crows, maybe play it late, but don't tell Rita. Also Rita said maybe some Motown if the crowd is into it. And Robert said play 'that Journey song', not sure which one. Rita wants Sweet Caroline NOT played, she told me she is sick of it.

Questions for the owner

  • Which Journey song did Robert Wilcox mean?
  • Who will settle the "Sweet Caroline" conflict between Rita and Robert, and by when?
  • Is Robin Wyatt's "Mr. Jones" request okay to play if Rita has not said she wants it? Do you want to confirm with Robin first?
  • Please confirm any venue music rules with Embermoor Event Hall.

What it does

Takes a client's scattered song requests, notes, and warnings and turns them into one clear list the DJ can use on the night. It separates must-plays, do-not-plays, and anything unclear, and attaches timing and who asked for each song.

Use it when: Use when a DJ needs to turn a client's messy song requests, emails, or notes into a clean do-not-play and must-play list, such as: organize my client's song list, sort the must plays and do not plays, or clean up this playlist request for the event.
