Before and after

BEFORE · what the owner typed
Grovewood Cleaners, 7148 Flintwood St, Maplehurst. Taken in by Shane Archer today 3/14, ticket 2291. Customer Selma Wen, 402-555-0154. She brought 4 things. 1. Navy wool blazer, Hartley label I think, dry clean only tag. Red wine splash on the front left lapel and down by the pocket, about the size of a quarter, she says it happened at a dinner Saturday. Right cuff has a bit of fraying. Elbows shiny. One button on the sleeve is loose. 2. Cream silk blouse, no brand showing, dry clean only. Yellowing under both arms. Small ink mark on the front near the bottom hem, thin line. Missing the top button. She says she wants the underarms looked at. 3. Camel overcoat, long, wool blend. Pilling at the elbows and cuffs. Belt loops fine. Lining has a small tear about 2 inches at the inside seam on the left. No stains. I told her the lining tear could get bigger in cleaning and she said fine, go ahead. 4. Grey pleated skirt, polyester. Nothing wrong that I could see except a faint crease line on the hem.

Questions for the owner

  • Was the customer told that the red wine stain on the blazer or the yellowing and ink mark on the blouse may not come out fully? Nothing was noted, so no discussion is recorded for those items.
  • Is the blazer brand confirmed as Hartley, or should the notes say the label was unreadable?

What it does

Turns the quick observations you make at the counter into clean, itemized intake notes for each garment. The notes record stains, damage, and existing wear as the item came in, so you and the customer both have the same record before any cleaning starts.

Use it when: Use when a dry cleaner needs to turn counter observations about a customer's garments into clear intake notes that record stains, damage, and existing wear before cleaning, such as: write up intake notes, log this garment condition, or note the stains and damage on these items.
