Before and after

BEFORE · what the owner typed
Need a checklist for the rough-in inspection Thursday at 1855 Finchworth St, Birchland. Its a kitchen and bath addition for Faith Love, about 600 sq ft. Our company is Greenworth Builders. Trades up: framing (Ethan Levine is lead), plumbing (Farah Marshall), electrical (Fernando Moran, his helper Faye McCarthy). Framing is done but the hurricane ties on the east wall arent in yet, Ethan said hes doing them tomorrow. Plumbing: drain lines are in and the new tub is a Kohler Archer in a weird alcove, supply lines run but no pressure test yet. Electrical: boxes set and wires pulled in kitchen, bath not finished. Last inspection notice said the plumbing vent by the bath needs to be supported better, not sure if thats fixed. Permit is in the window. Plans are in my truck, a 2018 Honda Civic, gray. I'll meet the inspector myself. Call me at 402-555-0186.

Based on the current statuses, we recommend holding the scheduled time only if the hurricane ties, pressure test, and bath wiring are finished by then. Otherwise, we recommend calling the building department about rescheduling.

Questions for the owner

  • What time is the inspection on Thursday?
  • Who is responsible for power and lighting for the inspector and for safe access to all work areas? No one was named, so those two items have no owner yet.
  • Do you want the pressure test results and the vent photo sent to you before the inspection?
  • Please confirm required items for this inspection with the local building department and the approved plans.

What it does

Builds a walk-through checklist for each trade that is up for inspection, based on the job details and permit notes you provide. It helps your crew and subs catch open items before the inspector arrives.

Use it when: Use when a general contractor needs a pre-inspection readiness checklist for a job, by trade (framing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, insulation, drywall, final), such as: are we ready for inspection, make me a checklist for Thursday's framing inspection, or what should the crew check before the inspector comes.
