Date: 6/14
Stylist: Ada Coleman
Client: Zahra Agarwal
Starting condition: Natural level 5 with old box black on the ends. Shoulder length, fine hair.
Steps:
- Roots: Redken Shades EQ 5N 30g + 5NB 15g with 30g processing solution. Processed 20 minutes.
- Mids to ends, lightener: Schwarzkopf BlondMe lightener 40g with 6% developer 80g. Processed 35 minutes.
- Mids to ends, toner: Redken Shades EQ 9V 20g + 9P 10g with 60g processing solution. Processed 15 minutes.
Result: Client said the color is perfect and loved the soft tone.
Next time: Do the ends a bit sooner. Start with the lightener first.
Flags: No reaction. Scalp was a little pink at the part after rinsing. Client said it always does. We recommend the stylist keeps an eye on this at the next visit.
Color History: Zahra Agarwal
- 6/14, Ada Coleman: Root color with lightener and toner on mids and ends
- 3/22, Zane Ayers: Gloss only
What has worked: The soft tone from the 9V and 9P toner on 6/14 was the one the client loved.
What to watch: The 3/22 gloss faded fast, according to the notes. Pink scalp at the part after rinsing, which the client says is normal for her.
Most recent full formula (6/14): see the entry above.
Questions for the owner
- What were the amounts and processing time for any step Zane Ayers did not note beyond the gloss on 3/22? Only the gloss was provided, so no other 3/22 steps are listed.
- Which sections of the hair did the 3/22 gloss go on?
- Do you want a patch test date recorded for this client? None was given.
What it does
Turns a stylist's rushed color notes into a clean, consistent formula entry for the client's file. It also pulls a client's past entries into a short summary the stylist can read before the next appointment.
Use it when: Use when a hair salon needs to log a color formula after an appointment or recall a client's color history before the next one, such as "log this formula," "what did we use on her last time," "pull up her color history," or "write up the formula card."
