Before and after
SHARPENING PRICE LIST

- Pocketknives: $6 flat, any size
- Hunting and fixed blade knives: $8 up to 6 inches, $11 over 6 inches
- Kitchen shears: $9
- Sewing scissors: $7
Serrated Knives
- Add $2 per knife to the regular sharpening price
Chip and Tip Repair
- Small chips (under 1/16 inch deep): $8
- Larger chips: quoted after we look at the blade
- Broken tip regrind: $12 flat
Extras and Fees
- Heavy rust removal: $5 extra
- Same day rush: $10 extra per order, if we have room
Good to Know
- Bring 3 or more knives and get 10% off sharpening. The discount does not apply to repairs.
- Usual turnaround is 2 to 3 days.
- We do not sharpen ceramic knives or knives with a bent blade.
- We take cash, Venmo, and card.
Example of how pricing works: a 8 inch chef's knife is $8. A serrated 10 inch bread knife is $10 plus $2, so $12.
Please confirm
- Kitchen knife length: I wrote "inch of blade." Confirm you measure the blade only and not the handle.
- Serrated pricing: the $2 is added per knife on top of the per-inch or flat price, as you described. Confirm this applies to serrated pocketknives and hunting knives too.
- Rounding: tell me how you round blade lengths like 7.5 inches.
- Shears and sewing scissors: confirm the 10% bulk discount counts them toward the 3 knives.
- Sales tax: confirm locally whether tax applies to your services and whether your prices include it.
- For Facebook, I can write a shorter post version of this list if you want it.
What it does
Turns the owner's prices and rough notes into a clean, easy-to-read price list organized by knife type, blade length, serrated edges, and chip or tip repair. It also lists the extra fees, minimums, and policies the owner states, so customers know what to expect before they drop off knives.
Use it when: Use when a knife sharpening business needs to build or update a price list by knife type, blade length, serrated edges, and chip or tip repair, such as "make me a price list," "update my sharpening prices," "what do I charge for serrated," or "write up my rates for the website or counter card."
