Property Walk Notes to Proposal
Turns the notes you took while walking a customer's property into a clear, organized proposal the customer can read, understand, and approve.
Before and after
Hi Monica,
Thank you for walking the property with me at 510 Highfield St. You told me you want the front yard cleaned up before your daughter's party, so I started there. Here is what I found and what we recommend.
Safety concern, recommended now
- Maple limb over the walkway to the driveway: the limb is cracked and hangs over a path you walk under daily. Trim and remove the limb. $350
Safety subtotal: $350
Recommended now
- Front bed along the porch, 30 ft: the bed is overgrown. Pull weeds, edge the bed, and spread 3 yards of mulch. Mulch is included. $420
- Sprinkler head by the mailbox: the head is broken and spraying the sidewalk nonstop. Replace the head. $65
Recommended now subtotal: $485
Also recommended
- Front and back lawn: mow and edge both. $90
- Back fence line, about 40 ft: there are volunteer saplings growing along the fence. Clear them out. $280
- Side hedge, 25 ft: the hedge needs shaping. Shape the hedge. $150
Also recommended subtotal: $520
Grand total: $1,355
Approval options
- Safety concern only: $350
- Safety concern plus Recommended now: $835
- All three groups: $1,355
You are welcome to approve everything or choose the items you want. Any item you decide to hold off on, I will note as your decision.
Terms
- This proposal is good for 30 days.
- A 50 percent deposit books the job, and the rest is due when the work is done. On the full $1,355 that is a $677.50 deposit.
- I can start next week.
To approve, reply to this message or call me at 234-555-0132.

Questions for the owner
- Do you want the customer's email or phone number added to the proposal?
- Should the limb removal include hauling away the debris? The notes do not say.
- Is the deposit amount for a partial approval also 50 percent? The notes only gave the percentage.
- Should the saplings along the fence include stump treatment? The notes do not say.
