Before and after

BEFORE · what the owner typed
Elkmont Liquor and Convenience, 7240 Crowmont St, Grovegate. Phone 319-555-0102. Im Ibrahim Costa. Doing the summer reset Sunday June 8. We close 10pm and open 7am Monday. Me and Irina Daly are there from close. Iris Dennis can come at 6am Monday to help finish. Cooler is 6 doors. Right now doors 1 and 2 are domestic light lager, 3 is craft IPA, 4 is seltzer, 5 is imported, 6 is soda and mixers. Want it this way: door 1 domestic light lager, door 2 seltzer, door 3 seltzer and canned cocktails, door 4 craft IPA plus new hazy IPAs, door 5 imported and Mexican lagers, door 6 stays as is. Wine: we have 2 sections, pulling the heavy reds out and putting rosé and sparkling in. Spirits: tequila end cap for summer. Whiskey gift sets, 4 left, go to the bottom shelf in the back. Friday pallet is coming with 18 cases seltzer, 10 cases canned cocktails, 8 cases rosé. Irina says warm cases need about 4 hours in our cooler to get cold. Heavy reds go to backstock. Dont know how many facings per door yet.

Questions for the owner

  • How many facings per door do you want for each product? This is needed to say how many of the 36 cases fit in the cooler right away.
  • Which hazy IPA brands are going into door 4, and are they part of a delivery or already in stock?
  • Which sparkling wines are going in, and are they already in stock?
  • Please confirm with your local licensing authority that the tequila end cap placement and the new signs follow your local display rules.

What it does

Turns the owner's rough notes about a seasonal change into a clear reset plan. It covers what goes where in each cooler door and shelf section, what comes out, what to load first so it is cold by opening, and who does which job and when.

Use it when: Use when a convenience or liquor store owner needs a plan for a seasonal cooler and shelf reset for beer, wine and spirits, such as: plan my summer reset, move the seltzer to more doors, rework the cooler, or who does what after close.
