Thank you for having Ray out to 3921 Redfield St. You told us you don't know how many keys the previous owner handed out and you want your family to feel safe, so here is what Ray found and what we recommend, door by door.
Safety concern, recommended now
- Front door deadbolt: The front door has only a knob lock, no deadbolt. We recommend adding a deadbolt keyed to match your other locks. $145
- Rekey the back door and garage entry deadbolts: Both work fine, but since you don't know who has keys to them, we recommend rekeying them so only the keys you hold will work. $20 each, $40 for both
- Strike plate screws on all three doors (front, back, and garage entry): The screws holding each strike plate are 3/4 inch. We recommend replacing them with 3 inch screws on each door. $15 per door, $45 for three
- Garage entry door glass: A glass panel sits about 10 inches from the thumb turn, so someone could break the glass and reach in. We recommend security film on the glass. $85
