Questions for the owner

  • Sparring starts at yellow belt, but no sparring drills were listed. Do you want sparring weeks added to the yellow belt plan, and if so, what should be taught?
  • Peggy Porter helps with the 6 to 8 year old class. Should the plan show a different pace or different items for that class?
  • Where should the parent summaries be shared (handout, email, or posted at the school)?
  • If any student has an injury or health condition, please have the family check with their doctor and talk with you before class.

What it does

Takes the techniques, forms, and requirements your school already uses and organizes them into a clear plan for each belt level. Each belt gets goals, what is taught, week-by-week focus, character lessons, and what students need to show at testing. You can hand it to instructors and share a short version with parents.

Use it when: Use when a martial arts school owner or head instructor needs to turn their techniques, forms, and requirements into a belt-by-belt curriculum plan for kids, such as: plan the curriculum for each belt, build a yellow belt syllabus, lay out what each rank teaches, or write a class plan for the next testing cycle.
