Service Notes to Customer Explanation
Turns a technician's shorthand notes into a clear, honest message the rider can understand and trust.
Before and after
Hi Eileen, this is Emily at Skybrook Cycle Works. Your motorcycle is ready. Here is what we found on the three things you brought it in for, plus the results of our inspection.
Your stalling at idle: The air filter was clogged and both spark plugs were fouled, so the engine wasn't getting what it needs to idle smoothly. We replaced the plugs and the air filter, and it now holds idle.
Your spongy rear brake: The rear brake fluid was dark and there was air in the line, which is what made the pedal feel soft. We bled the rear brake and the pedal is firm now.
Your chain noise: The chain was dry and had tight spots, and the teeth on the rear sprocket are hooked. We adjusted and lubed the chain today at no charge. We recommend replacing the chain and sprocket set, since worn teeth keep wearing a new or old chain.
Done today
- Spark plugs and air filter: $96.50
