AFTER · what the skill produced

Summary
Estimated volume: 665 cubic feet. With the 10 percent allowance: 731.5, call it 732 cubic feet.
Recommended truck: 16 ft (800 cubic feet). It fits with a margin of 68 cubic feet, so confidence is medium. Garage and spare closet were not seen, and anything from them could use up that margin. We recommend quoting the 20 ft truck as the safe option, or confirming the garage and closet first.

Living room

  • Sofa, 1 x 70 = 70
  • Loveseat, 1 x 50 = 50
  • Recliner, 1 x 35 = 35
  • TV stand, 1 x 15 = 15
  • Bookcases, 2 x 20 = 40
  • Books from the bookcases, assumed 8 small boxes x 1.5 = 12 (estimated)
    Subtotal: 222

Kitchen

  • Dining table with 4 chairs, 1 x 45 = 45
  • Boxes, customer says about 15. Assumed 15 medium x 3 = 45 (estimated)
    Subtotal: 90

Master bedroom

  • Queen bed set, 1 x 90 = 90
  • Nightstands, 2 x 5 = 10
  • Dresser, 1 x 30 = 30
  • Packed closet, assumed 3 wardrobe boxes x 10 = 30 and 4 large boxes x 4.5 = 18 (estimated)
    Subtotal: 178

Kid room

  • Twin bed set, 1 x 40 = 40
  • Dresser, 1 x 30 = 30
  • Desk, 1 x 25 = 25
    Subtotal: 95

Laundry

  • Washer, 1 x 40 = 40
  • Dryer, 1 x 40 = 40
    Subtotal: 80

Totals
222 + 90 + 178 + 95 + 80 = 665 cubic feet.
Allowance: 665 x 10 percent = 66.5. Adjusted total: 731.5, call it 732 cubic feet.

Special handling

  • Washer and dryer: confirm they are being disconnected by the customer or a plumber, and whether you will do it.
  • 40 steps with no elevator: expect slower loading and unloading. Confirm whether you charge for stairs under your own rules.

Assumptions

  • Book and kitchen box counts above came from the photos and the customer's word.
  • Closet contents were estimated from the photo.
  • Items were counted only if visible.

Not seen or unknown

  • Garage, spare room closet, and any outdoor items or patio furniture. Ask: "What is in the garage? Any bikes, tools, shelving, or a grill?"
  • Wall art, lamps, rugs, and TVs were not clearly visible.
  • Whether the apartment has parking close to the stairs. Ask how far the truck can park.
  • Whether anything is being left behind.

Truck and crew

  • Recommended: 16 ft truck (800 cubic feet) for 732 cubic feet, a margin of 68 cubic feet. Any garage items could push it over.
  • Safer option: 20 ft truck (1,000 cubic feet), a margin of 268.
  • Crew and hours: you did not give crew rates, so I left this blank. The stairs and the unseen garage are the main factors. We recommend a quick video call to see the garage and closet before the quote is final.

This is an estimate from photos, not a binding quote.

What it does

Takes photos or notes from a customer walkthrough, lists every item room by room, assigns a cubic feet figure to each, and recommends a truck size and crew based on the company's own numbers. It also flags what could not be seen so the estimator can confirm before quoting.

Use it when: Use when a moving company needs to turn customer photos, a video walkthrough description, or a rough item list into a cubic feet estimate and a truck size recommendation, such as "estimate this move from photos," "how big a truck for this," "how many cubic feet is this house," or "size up this job."
