Plumber Job Notes to Plain-English Explanation
Turns a plumber's shorthand job notes into a clear, honest message the customer can understand.
Before and after
Hi Faith Reese,
Thank you for having Stonebrook Plumbing out to 8417 Slatebrook St in Westbank. Ethan Preston went through your kitchen and checked a few other spots. Here is what he found.
Your slow kitchen sink: The curved pipe under the sink (the P-trap) was full of grease and debris. Ethan cleared it and ran water for 10 minutes, and it drained well.
The drip under the sink: A slip nut on that same trap was loose. Ethan tightened it by hand, and the area was dry afterward.
Recommended now
- Kitchen sink shutoff valve (angle stop): It is weeping at the stem. Ethan snugged the packing nut, but that did not stop it, so we recommend replacing the valve.
- Water heater: Ethan saw a rust stain on the floor at the base of the tank. We recommend having it looked at so the cause can be found.
Also recommended
- Upstairs toilet cold shutoff: It is stuck and would not turn. We recommend replacing or repairing it so you can shut off the water to that toilet when you need to.
Checked and good
- Outside hose bibb and the main water shutoff
Prices
- Drain clearing, completed today: $120 (paid)
- Replace kitchen sink shutoff valve, parts and labor: $140
