Client Aftercare Instructions
Turns the therapist's or esthetician's notes about a treatment into a clear, friendly aftercare message for the client.
Before and after
Hi Carmen,
Thank you for coming in to Marshford Massage Studio today. Here is what we ask you to do after your 90 minute deep tissue massage with Colette.
Do
- Drink water through the evening.
- Take a warm shower if you like.
- If a spot feels sore, you can use ice or heat on it for 15 minutes at a time.
Avoid
- Hard workouts until tomorrow.
- Hot tubs and saunas tonight.
What is normal
Some soreness for a day or two is normal, similar to how you feel after a workout.
A note from Colette
We focused on your upper back and shoulders today, and your right shoulder was especially tight. We used our unscented jojoba blend and no hot stones. Because you sit at a desk all day, we recommend coming back in 2 weeks so Colette can keep working on that shoulder.
When to call us
Please call us if you notice any bruising, if the soreness is sharp or gets worse after 2 days, or if you get numbness or tingling. You can reach us at 234-555-0170, Tuesday to Saturday, 9 to 6. If you have severe pain, trouble breathing, or any emergency, please contact a doctor or emergency services instead.
Thank you again, Carmen Carr. We look forward to seeing you.

Questions for the owner
- Do you want to include a link or phone option for booking the 2 week follow-up?
- Should the message mention anything about stretching or desk posture, or does the spa prefer to leave that out?
What it does
Turns the therapist's or esthetician's notes about a treatment into a clear, friendly aftercare message for the client. It covers what to do, what to avoid, what is normal, and when to call the spa.
Use it when: Use when a spa or massage business needs to write aftercare instructions for a client after a treatment, such as "write aftercare for this client," "what do I tell them after their massage," or "send the post-treatment notes."
