Before and after
Pricing for Tuesday donations, Millhollow Thrift
-
Dazey ice crusher, avocado green
Tier: Good (works, scuffs on the base, no cracks)
Math: $24.00 x 80% = $19.20, rounded to $19.00
Tag price: $19.00 -
Six cobalt blue Hazel-Atlas juice glasses (brand as given in your notes)
Five glasses: Excellent (clean, no chips). $3.00 x 100% = $3.00 each, 5 x $3.00 = $15.00
One glass: Fair (chip on the rim). $3.00 x 50% = $1.50
Set total: $15.00 + $1.50 = $16.50
Tag price: $16.50 for the set of six. Note the chipped glass on the tag. -
Kid's bike helmet, pink
Pull, do not price. Used helmets are on your do-not-sell list. Follow your store's rule for where pulled items go. Please confirm the safety and recall rules for your area for helmets and similar items. -
Portable manual typewriter, olive green case
Tier: Fair (carriage sticks, did not type when tested)
Math: $60.00 x 50% = $30.00
Tag price: $30.00
Flag: Over $25, so send to Ariel Mack for a second look before tagging. Notes say the carriage sticks and it did not type, so the tag should say so. -
Men's brown leather jacket, size L
No price yet. I need a base price for jackets (see questions). -
Gray cable knit sweater
Tier: Fair (pilling and a small hole at one cuff)
Math: $8.00 x 50% = $4.00
Tag price: $4.00
Totals: 4 items priced (items 1, 2, 4, 6), 1 pulled (item 3), 1 waiting on an answer (item 5). Priced total: $19.00 + $16.50 + $30.00 + $4.00 = $69.50.
Questions for the owner
- What base price should I use for a men's leather jacket in excellent shape?
- Is the jacket brand known? There is no label in the notes, so I left it unconfirmed.
- How should the typewriter be tagged, with a "not working" label or another wording? I did not add a store policy for it.
What it does
Turns a photo description and condition notes into a tag price for each item, using the store's own pricing rules. It shows how it got each price, so the owner can check it fast and change it.
Use it when: Use when a thrift store owner or volunteer needs a price for a donated or bought item from a photo and condition notes, such as: price this, what should I tag this at, or price these donations.
